6 Month Transfer Rules for ING Fixed Annuities Agents
The following rules apply to transferring agents from one hierarchy to another.
An agent may transfer to a new hierarchy if he/she has no new fixed annuity production within the prior 6 months and has been with his/her current hierarchy for at least 6 months. The agent or prospective hierarchy must submit to ING a transmittal form signed by the agent.
Agent transfers must be approved in writing by the NMO or AMO, whichever is the top of the hierarchy. The documentation should be obtained by the entity wishing to release the sub-agents, and submit it to our licensing team with the request.
If an agent is not transferable because of recent production, the agent or prospective hierarchy may submit a transmittal form to ING indicating the agent's desire to switch hierarchies.
The transmittal form will make the agent eligible for transfer 6 months from the last application date for that agent.
ING will send written notification to the agent, and to both the current and prospective hierarchies, of the agent's intention to transfer.
After the 6 month period, the agent will be transferred with no further action required from the agent or new hierarchy.
If, prior to the end of the 6-month notification period, the agent decides to rescind the transfer and stay with their current hierarchy, they must notify ING in writing of the change and we will void the transfer request.
